Hammarby IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fredric Melander ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hammarby IF's goalie and right to Hjalmar Browald. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hammarby IF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Hjalmar Browald might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Vester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hjalmar Browald ran back to his position shaking his head. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Browald in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Dominguez came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pål Sefastsson made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Gösta Söderberg sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of National Team Cape-Verde booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanco Mera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Hjalmar Browald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammarby IF's Holger Vester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Controller Serapio in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by National Team Cape-Verde's Cris Montoia. The wind increased when Celedonio Dominguez made the kick off in the second half. National Team Cape-Verde were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Hammarby IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fredric Melander took the corner. After taking down the ball on National Team Cape-Verde's corner Fredric Melander fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Holger Vester quite easily take care of the ball. After 67 minutes of play, Hammarby IF's Celedonio Dominguez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pål Sefastsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! National Team Cape-Verde's Alex Broberg was substituted for Fredric Melander. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Björklund in the 87th minute of play. Pål Sefastsson came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Kaj Björklund. But to his dismay, Kaj Björklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 91st minute of play. Alex Broberg kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hammarby IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
