Long Yuan De came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius. But to his dismay, Jari Alenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Vellito Alguerdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarando Eguizabal in the 20th minute of play. Jari Alenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Long Yuan De read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Xaven Galiana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vellito Alguerdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jari Alenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Long Yuan De was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. When NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of NAGANO F.C booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Deniz Bedi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jari Alenius in the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Long Yuan De was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Alenius came free, but Long Yuan De reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, NAGANO F.C's Clodoveo Weather got a free kick in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Zarando Eguizabal came free, but Vellito Alguerdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Jari Alenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Yuan De saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jari Alenius to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Ruperto Ufret got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, Jari Alenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Long Yuan De came out of the goal and Jari Alenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Jari Alenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Long Yuan De was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. NAGANO F.C's attentive Clodoveo Weather managed to snatch the ball when Ruperto Ufret made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. Long Yuan De took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jari Alenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jari Alenius might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Long Yuan De. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jari Alenius ran back to his position shaking his head. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jari Alenius in the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Ariel Ortega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jari Alenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Long Yuan De was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rdth minute of the game Jari Alenius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Alenius came free, but Long Yuan De reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. NAGANO F.C's Gabriel Batistuta was substituted for Jari Alenius. After 79 minutes Astillero del Guayas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clodoveo Weather who took care of the corner kick. The corner led NAGANO F.C's Clodoveo Weather to fire away a dangerous shot which Long Yuan De despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 81st minute, Gabriel Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Gabriel Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gabriel Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Long Yuan De having to interfere. Astillero del Guayas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
