In the 95thth minute of the game Éric Cantona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Puerto Quito's Mauricio Precioso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Puerto Quito's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Inter de Guayaquil FC had won, even though Club Puerto Quito had held more of the ball.
