With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mora Liebana in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Precioso saved Club Puerto Quito from getting behind. Mora Liebana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauricio Precioso having to make a save. Mauricio Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mora Liebana in the 4th minute of play. When Club Puerto Quito's Rufino Giron in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DALO S.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Peter Aceituno charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Aceituno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, DALO S.C.'s Peter Aceituno got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 18 minutes, Rufino Giron made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. DALO S.C.'s Isaias Perojo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayoví Costoya in the 22nd minute of play forced DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Isaias Perojo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rufino Giron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the match, DALO S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rufino Giron came free, but Isaias Perojo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Club Puerto Quito got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Azpiazu. Isaias Perojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufino Giron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rufino Giron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaias Perojo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Mauricio Precioso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mora Liebana, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mora Liebana to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Mora Liebana sped through Club Puerto Quito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauricio Precioso. Isaias Perojo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Jhon Costa sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Club Puerto Quito's Arturo Azpiazu got a free kick in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mora Liebana in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Precioso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lode Van Hemel kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the game Arturo Azpiazu made a throw-in which Santiago Huemen played forward. In the 70th minute Mora Liebana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Precioso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rufino Giron in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Isaias Perojo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Peter Aceituno came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the DALO S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Aceituno couldn't finish the play. Rufino Giron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Isaias Perojo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Isaias Perojo managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Club Puerto Quito's Rufino Giron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 89th minute, Mora Liebana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Precioso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Isaias Perojo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rufino Giron's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
