Jörn Svartengren might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cotera Monar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jörn Svartengren ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th minute Jörn Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cotera Monar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 7th minute of play forced DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Cotera Monar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cotera Monar made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Lorenzo Acutain sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Jörn Svartengren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xzavier Palomarez to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Jörn Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cotera Monar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Cotera Monar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Svartengren. DALO S.C.'s Cotera Monar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save DALO S.C. from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörn Svartengren in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cotera Monar saved DALO S.C. from getting behind. In the 27th minute DALO S.C. were awarded a corner. Peter Aceituno went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cotera Monar. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Cotera Monar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 32nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Lorenzo Acutain managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jörn Svartengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Cotera Monar made a huge save. Cotera Monar was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Jörn Svartengren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jörn Svartengren really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. With his leg Cotera Monar managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jörn Svartengren in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cotera Monar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 43rd minute, Jörn Svartengren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cotera Monar. The goal made the score 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Delgadillo made a kick off. DALO S.C.'s Cotera Monar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, David Delgadillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastian Hellkvist, 4-1. In the 56th minute Jörn Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cotera Monar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jörn Svartengren struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Cotera Monar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. Xinto Guerrez hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Jörn Svartengren notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of DALO S.C.'s Cotera Monar. Cotera Monar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Éric Cantona was substituted for Jörn Svartengren. After some careless play in the DALO S.C. defense, Jakub Ziombkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cotera Monar. The DALO S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cotera Monar should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Cotera Monar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cotera Monar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Éric Cantona, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Éric Cantona notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of DALO S.C.'s Cotera Monar. Cotera Monar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Jakub Ziombkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakub Ziombkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cotera Monar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Jakub Ziombkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cotera Monar. DALO S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakub Ziombkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Cotera Monar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éric Cantona in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inter de Guayaquil FC fully deserved thier win.
