In the 10th minute Batıhan Seyfeddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batıkan Muhsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Batıkan Muhsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batıhan Seyfeddin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Luke in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Pires in the 31st minute of play forced Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Atilla Açıkalın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nizam Soner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nereo Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. When Bernardo Sasso fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's protests and gave Bernardo Sasso a yellow card for diving instead.
