Armada's Färid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar de Moraes in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Armada's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Loyola came free, but Färid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Färid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Róbert Benkó in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Haroldo Dante, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Färid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Varban Pavlikyanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Róbert Benkó was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Róbert Benkó mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Armada and the Clube Atl. Taquaritinga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Armada's Róbert Benkó got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar de Moraes in the 53rd minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Clube Atl. Taquaritinga booed when Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hong Zhen Hui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbert Benkó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Dante having to make a save. Haroldo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Benkó in the 82nd minute of the match. 1-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Breno Loyola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Armada made a substitution. Eliodor Coposu replaced Rivaldo Esquerdo. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's David Lima was substituted for Armando Graack. If Filomeno Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Aníbal Sá kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Färid Mondragón. That made the score 1-2 in the 91 minute of play. Breno Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Färid Mondragón made a huge save. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
