Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Ferraz in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Custódio in the 17th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Florin Susara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Inácio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Ferraz came free, but Zézinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Cássio Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the MarquinhosEC defense, Donato Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zézinho Simões. The MarquinhosEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zézinho Simões should have stopped the shot. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Cássio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vágner Porto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abelardo Maranhense came out and tried to block the shot, but Vágner Porto slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 42nd minute. Zézinho Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inácio Freitas made a kick off. Olivedos's attentive Caio Pinto managed to snatch the ball when Barrie Deacon made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save MarquinhosEC from getting a goal against them. It was a penalty for Olivedos! MarquinhosEC's Curt Montes was substituted for Florin Susara. MarquinhosEC's Gabriel Martini was substituted for Esteve Quinto. MarquinhosEC's Horácio Vides was substituted for Mark Kovalev. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by MarquinhosEC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisinho Ceresso was slow to take the kick. During this time Olivedos's players had a chance to rest. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Meertens, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Despite this Abelardo Maranhense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The attack was good, but when Curt Montes in the 79th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Freitas in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Freitas. Gabriel Martini lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 91st minute, one of MarquinhosEC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MarquinhosEC. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Meertens, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
