An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 5th minute of play forced The Northmen Army's goalkeeper Robin Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, The Northmen Army's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Dionísio came free, but Robin Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Söderström got free with Pedrinho Guimarães in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Castanheiro SC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after The Northmen Army's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anísio Alagoano took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Seco in the 17th minute of play forced The Northmen Army's goalkeeper Robin Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to The Northmen Army getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Markus Söderström hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Benedito Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Näfver was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes The Northmen Army got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Holmberg. After 52 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Alagoano. The Northmen Army's Robin Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 54th minute of play. Emil Hermansson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedrinho Guimarães. In the 96th minute, Patrik Wacherhausen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Castanheiro SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
