After 4 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Sarmento. Pedrinho Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Hori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Mergildo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Urbano Lidon kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Bittor came free, but Pedrinho Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Castanheiro SC's Anísio Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santos Hori. Santos Hori yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Nilson Veloso got a free kick in the 35th minute. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Bittor in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Benedito Mineiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Hori. Howling Dawn U18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedito Mineiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 45th minute of play forced Howling Dawn U18's goalkeeper Santos Hori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Dionísio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Howling Dawn U18's Juan Bittor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Santos Hori came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Benedito Mineiro. But to his dismay, Benedito Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Howling Dawn U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Guter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Hori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anísio Alagoano went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute Florencio Fernendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Howling Dawn U18 booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Célio Vianna hit a great ball. Howling Dawn U18's Santos Hori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Mineiro in the 86th minute of play. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Espiridion in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Howling Dawn U18's Zeledon Dino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedrinho Guimarães. Pedrinho Guimarães yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. Castanheiro SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
