If Jorginho Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Célio Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Célio Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Célio Nóbrega hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Otávio Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dudu de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon de Amorim in the 16th minute of the match. Edvaldo Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Edvaldo Costa got control of the ball when Jânio Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Pombal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Scarlet Speedster's zone, Emanuel Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu de Toledo came out of the goal and Emanuel Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Martins. 38 minutes into the game, Jovens Democratas MZC's Valdemar Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luís Paulo Domingues hit a great ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Leonardo Pombal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jovens Democratas MZC's Edvaldo Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes in the game, Leonardo Pombal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edvaldo Costa having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon de Amorim came free, but Dudu de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Valdemar Guerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dudu de Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Jovens Democratas MZC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon de Amorim to make the kick off. Dudu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon de Amorim in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Dudu de Toledo got control of the ball when Valdemar Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Jânio Martins got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Maicon de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Augusto Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Célio Nóbrega got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Scarlet Speedster's Narciso Bueno was substituted for Jorginho Peres. In the 74th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Jovens Democratas MZC's César Coelho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dudu de Toledo but with some difficulty. Wilian Antunes's late challenge caught a Scarlet Speedster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilian Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Wilian Antunes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Cafu Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scarlet Speedster's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Scarlet Speedster's Dudu de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. Cristóvão Nascimento hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Narciso Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Cafu Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Zé Augusto Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes, Scarlet Speedster's Cristóvão Nascimento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edvaldo Costa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Scarlet Speedster reached it. Edvaldo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
