The shot was a little too simple and Pastor Oriche could save by the left post. 13 minutes into the match, Formentera's goalkeeper Pastor Oriche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Chaves. Jovens Democratas MZC's Wilian Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rolando Ado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Ado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maicon de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Camilo Hernandez got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 54 played minutes, Jovens Democratas MZC's Zé Augusto Tinoco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pastor Oriche came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jovens Democratas MZC reached it. In the 56th match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Servando to maneuver through the defense. Maicon de Amorim scored 3-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pastor Oriche, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pastor Oriche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 69th match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Hernandez to maneuver through the defense. Jovens Democratas MZC's Allan Baiano was substituted for Júlio Guerra. Camilo Hernandez hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Formentera's Mario Frisco got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Zé Augusto Tinoco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pastor Oriche showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pastor Oriche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Guerra in the 87th minute of the match. Formentera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
