Pastor Oriche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Remicio during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 19 minutes, Jorginho Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorginho Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pastor Oriche came out and tried to block the shot, but Júnior da Fonseca slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jânio Guimarães was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Jânio Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pastor Oriche. Formentera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 60 minutes into the game, Jânio Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scarlet Speedster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formentera the free kick. Formentera's Pastor Oriche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bueno in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Bueno in the 95th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Pastor Oriche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior da Fonseca came free, but Pastor Oriche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Scarlet Speedster had played much better football throughout.
