An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Sabóia in the 9th minute of play forced Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Alfredo Dante almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SALIMEN's Elói Miranda did a great save. Nicolas Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Sebastião Tróia, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. César Catarinense hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowen Doherty in the 15th minute of play forced SALIMEN's goalkeeper Elói Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Pimenta in the 17th minute of play. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SALIMEN from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SALIMEN booed when Grêmio Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rowen Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Ulisses Sabóia came free, but Henrique Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Ulisses Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio Bulls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastião Tróia in the 34th minute. Elói Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Stenquist in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulisses Sabóia in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save SALIMEN from getting a goal against them. Henrique Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enéas Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute SALIMEN were awarded a corner. Saturnino Gartzea went to the cornerflag to take it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulisses Sabóia to make the kick off. Elói Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sunday Skinas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Stenquist in the 54th minute of play.
