The audience thought a goal was coming when Radomir Narbut got free with Zézinho Simões in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when MONTANHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Czeslaw Walec. Roger Guerra's late challenge caught a MarquinhosEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when MONTANHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Severo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in MONTANHA's zone, Florin Susara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens Mikaelsson came out of the goal and Florin Susara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MONTANHA's Jens Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Montes in the 31st minute of play. Jens Mikaelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Meertens's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Jens Mikaelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wei Guang Xings short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Zézinho Simões to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vágner Porto made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Narbut in the 59th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zézinho Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wei Guang Xing's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Zézinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Narbut in the 63rd minute of play. MONTANHA's Jens Mikaelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save MONTANHA from getting a goal against them. In the 70th match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Kovalev to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MarquinhosEC's Mark Kovalev got a free kick in the 71st minute. 71 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Wei Guang Xing came free, but Zézinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Susara in the 74th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Jens Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens Mikaelsson made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Vágner Porto sent off a good shot on target. After 83 minutes, Curt Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MarquinhosEC and the MONTANHA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curt Montes to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's Vágner Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jens Mikaelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zézinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Walec in the 87th minute of the match.
