Reko Nybacka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Soares in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ernesto de Amaral hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Pombal came free, but Eduardo Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Brasil. 35 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Valladares came free, but Eduardo Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmir Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Eduardo Baiano made a huge save. Eduardo Baiano made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Walmir Pombal sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Souto in the 45th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 57th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Pimenta. Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Pombal in the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Miguel Pimenta hit a great ball. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Edgar Souto sent off a good shot on target. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Ribeiro in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute Walmir Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inter Gala made a substitution. Donato Capixaba replaced Karl-Magnus Biörkquist. In the 90th minute, Miguel Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
