Despite this Zé Sabóia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 7 minutes into the game, Eliseu Fonseca lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ismael Nazario Serre. 10 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho de Carvalho came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseu Fonseca in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Eliseu Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Zé Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 56th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Valério Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saiko FC's Sixto Ondino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Papunhas EC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Baiano got free with Zé Sabóia in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Baiano. 84 minutes into the match, Valdemar de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Sabóia. Saiko FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdemar de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Zé Sabóia was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Valdemar de Moraes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valdemar de Moraes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Fonseca in the 94th minute of play. The Papunhas EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
