Inter Gala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Alberto Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eduardo Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo de Souza in the 10th minute of play. Paulo Gaizkine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Catugi FC were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Inter Gala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vicente Valladares took the corner. After taking down the ball on Catugi FC's corner Carlos Alberto Soares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eduardo Baiano quite easily take care of the ball.
