Gerald Guthrie hit a great ball. João Augusto Simões was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dagoberto Dracena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Trindade Atlético Club's João Augusto Simões threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ruperto Emenon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 19 minutes, Dagoberto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiaguinho Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Liang Wei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Dagoberto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. João Augusto Simões was a little too slow when Dagoberto Dracena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Dagoberto Dracena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Augusto Simões came out and tried to block the shot, but Dagoberto Dracena slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Gerald Guthrie had to leave the field with a concussion. When Dagoberto Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trindade Atlético Club's protests and gave Dagoberto Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. Dagoberto Dracena hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper João Augusto Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Augusto Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fritz Berghmans made a kick off. João Augusto Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute Rodrigo Garro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BEST FABIO F.C.'s João Augusto Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Dracena in the 56th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Falcão de Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Augusto Simões. BEST FABIO F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Falcão de Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Trindade Atlético Club's Maurinho Dias was substituted for Ruperto Emenon. After 75 minutes of play, Trindade Atlético Club's Róbson Couto made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Augusto Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Couto in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Augusto Simões saved BEST FABIO F.C. from getting behind. Róbson Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trindade Atlético Club's Vintilă Ungur was substituted for Dragoş Vâtcu. When Jiang Liang Wei fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BEST FABIO F.C.'s protests and gave Jiang Liang Wei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, BEST FABIO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Liang Wei to maneuver through the defense. João Augusto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Couto in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by BEST FABIO F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vintilă Ungur was slow to take the kick. During this time Trindade Atlético Club's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Trindade Atlético Club's Vintilă Ungur to fire away a dangerous shot which João Augusto Simões despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Falcão de Barros scored 7-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Simões, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Augusto Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbson Couto's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. BEST FABIO F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
