A collision led to Papunhas EC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Valério Linhares hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Piglowski in the 25th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Valdemar de Moraes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yuri Loureiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Baiano got free with Yuri Loureiro in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute Nicolas Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Oswaldo Prado got a free kick in the 39th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 84th minute Telmo Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Piglowski got free with Ismael Nazario Serre in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético Minuano eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
