Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Souto in the 3rd minute of play. Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Inter Gala from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute Richard Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Fonseca in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Souto came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eliseu Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Saiko FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Fonseca couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rodrigues came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mendonça in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Edgar Souto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Sabóia. Saiko FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Souto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Fonseca in the 25th minute of play. Walmir Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Jaime Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Inter Gala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Ribeiro came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Saiko FC's zone, Richard Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Sabóia came out of the goal and Richard Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Mendonça in the 31st minute of the match. Gabriel Bati in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eduardo Baiano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristóvão Ribeiro scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Sabóia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Bati recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. Zé Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rodrigues in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Souto. Zé Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 61 minutes, Cristóvão Ribeiro made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Richard Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Zé Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inter Gala's Artur Saraiva was substituted for Alfredão Brasil. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Valle in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Heinz Stalder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Mendonça. Inter Gala's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
