Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Laerte Lucas started the match with the kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Laerte Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilson Fernandez was slow to take the kick. During this time Montevideo's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Montevideo's corner Laerte Lucas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nilson do Vale quite easily take care of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Matorin came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Betão Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Bandelocos's Ronaldo Medeiros threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Guilherme Varela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Daniel Brasil hit a great ball. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Lucas in the 20th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Olavo Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo and the Bandelocos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Olavo Matorin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Daniel Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ronaldo Medeiros made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Henry Tormes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ronaldo Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Lucas in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Tormes came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilson Fernandez was slow to take the kick. During this time Montevideo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Montevideo's Wilson Fernandez to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilson do Vale despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute Rafael Sobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Tormes in the 45th minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Ronaldo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandão Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilson do Vale having to make a save. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandão Recife in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Sobis was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 54 in the game by Laerte Lucas from a close distance when the talented Nilson do Vale managed to make a qualified save. Bandelocos's players were relieved. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Quirino in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Matorin in the 66th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bandelocos's Luís Gustavo Urbano tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 75th match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Matorin. In the 79th minute Rafael Sobis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Betão Quirino got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Olavo Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Bray McJon fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montevideo's protests and gave Bray McJon a yellow card for diving instead. Bray McJon kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Betão Quirino got a free kick in the 91st minute. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tiago Moraes hit a great ball. Montevideo were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Bandelocos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilson Fernandez took the corner. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bandelocos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Montevideo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
