After having played for 6 minutes, Benjamim Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Nexus C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamim Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's goalkeeper Eguen Armesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Esteves. 13 minutes into the match, Real Nexus C.F.'s Benjamim Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eguen Armesto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eguen Armesto made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Lúcio Esteves sent off a good shot on target. If Zé Paulo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lars Kiil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Nexus C.F.'s Ulisses Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Pombal in the 23rd minute of play. Tiago Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ulisses Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Pombal in the 31st minute of the match. Sílvio Lucas hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Eguen Armesto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Esteves in the 33rd minute. Zé Paulo Pombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Augusto Vides scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulisses Urbano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eguen Armesto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Esteves in the 44th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Lúcio Esteves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eguen Armesto, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamim Brito made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Tiago Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eguen Armesto came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Nexus C.F.'s Ediberto Vargas. But to his dismay, Ediberto Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Ulisses Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Pombal in the 71st minute of play. Zé Paulo Pombal hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cruzeiro RS getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Zé Paulo Pombal hit a great ball. Eguen Armesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Moreno in the 78th minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play, Real Nexus C.F.'s Benjamim Brito made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eguen Armesto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute Benjamim Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eguen Armesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sílvio Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzeiro RS's protests and gave Sílvio Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cruzeiro RS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sílvio Lucas hit a great ball.
