In the 3rd minute, Alan Tavares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavinho Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Rogelio Lynch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batiste Carrez in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Batiste Carrez who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Dany-Adams De Scheper got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavinho Reis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Aloísio Arruda hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as CE LAJEADENSE RS's Aloísio Donato slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stefan Neubrandt. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. Mauricio Bitxintxo charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Bitxintxo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mauricio Bitxintxo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aloísio Donato in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Neubrandt saved Internazionale-RS from getting behind. Stefan Neubrandt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aloísio Donato's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Netto during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Michel Netto. 25 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Lynch came free, but Flavinho Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Caetano Saad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CE LAJEADENSE RS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leo Iigo in the 31st minute. Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Donato in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Lynch in the 35th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Flavinho Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Internazionale-RS. Alan Tavares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Flavinho Reis. 1-2. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Juarês Salles hit a great ball. Internazionale-RS were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after CE LAJEADENSE RS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Batiste Carrez took the corner. Dany-Adams De Scheper made a great header on Internazionale-RS's corner, it was just that CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis managed to reach the ball for a save. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aloísio Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Bitxintxo came free, but Stefan Neubrandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Donato in the 58th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Stefan Neubrandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Aloísio Donato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner. Leo Iigo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led CE LAJEADENSE RS's Leo Iigo to fire away a dangerous shot which Stefan Neubrandt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Flavinho Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Lynch in the 79th minute of the match. Stefan Neubrandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Donato in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Internazionale-RS's Carlos Alberto Trigo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Alberto Trigo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Internazionale-RS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Alberto Trigo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Carlos Alberto Trigo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Aloísio Donato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Neubrandt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting a goal against them. Bater Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Donato's late challenge caught a Internazionale-RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio Donato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Donato to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Neubrandt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aloísio Donato went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Internazionale-RS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
