Acácio Tinoco started the match with the kick off. Eguen Armesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Eguen Armesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Adhemar Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eguen Armesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eguen Armesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eguen Armesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Tasso in the 11th minute of play. Zé Paulo Pombals short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Ata Necmi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 13 in the game by Zé Paulo Pombal from a close distance when the talented Ata Necmi managed to make a qualified save. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's players were relieved. Eguen Armesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Arce in the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Adhemar Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eguen Armesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eguen Armesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred de Barros got free with Ata Necmi in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Tinoco came free, but Eguen Armesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Fred de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eguen Armesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Tasso scored 0-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eguen Armesto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Capixaba in the 53rd minute of play. Eguen Armesto made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Adrianinho Capixaba sent off a good shot on target. Eguen Armesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ata Necmi came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro RS's Zé Paulo Pombal. But to his dismay, Zé Paulo Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Jailson Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred de Barros's late challenge caught a BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred de Barros helped the player get up and apologised. Fred de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Cruzeiro RS's attentive Sílvio Lucas managed to snatch the ball when Osvaldinho Zonta made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's Fred de Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ata Necmi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amauri Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Cruzeiro RS's Telmo Souza was substituted for João Augusto Vides. Cruzeiro RS made a substitution. Oséas Tasso replaced Tiago Esteves. A collision led to Cruzeiro RS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Amauri Ribeiro hit a great ball. When Zé Paulo Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cruzeiro RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Pombal couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Zé Paulo Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ata Necmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Cruzeiro RS defense, Acácio Tinoco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eguen Armesto. The Cruzeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eguen Armesto should have stopped the shot. Adrianinho Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eguen Armesto having to interfere. Ata Necmi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Paulo Pombal went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When Adrianinho Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrianinho Capixaba couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Zé Paulo Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Cruzeiro RS to leave the ground with a draw.
