Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhivko Húntev in the 4th minute of play. Zhivko Húntev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eguen Armesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhivko Húntev, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute, Hori Galli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hori Galli hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Zhivko Húntev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eguen Armesto. Cruzeiro RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhivko Húntev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eguen Armesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhivko Húntev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldinho Moreno made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Augusto Vides in the 26th minute. When Facopo FBPA's Zhivko Húntev in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eguen Armesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhivko Húntev in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Zhivko Húntev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eguen Armesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Zhivko Húntev came free, but Eguen Armesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Koehler's late challenge caught a Facopo FBPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Koehler helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro RS's Anselmo Koehler got a free kick in the 40th minute. Ilgaz Aydoğan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eguen Armesto. Cruzeiro RS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Cruzeiro RS booed when Facopo FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Requena didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Facopo FBPA's Osvaldinho Moreno got control of the ball when Sílvio Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Zé Paulo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eguen Armesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhivko Húntev in the 46th minute of play. Osvaldinho Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Pombal in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Zhivko Húntev made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Zhivko Húntev tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eguen Armesto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 52 in the game by Zhivko Húntev from a close distance when the talented Eguen Armesto managed to make a qualified save. Cruzeiro RS's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Zhivko Húntev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Facopo FBPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Zhivko Húntev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eguen Armesto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Augusto Vides hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 60 minutes, João Augusto Vides mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro RS and the Facopo FBPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Facopo FBPA booed when Cruzeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cruzeiro RS made a substitution. Diego Peres replaced Olívio Mazza. Cruzeiro RS's Oséas Tasso was substituted for Tiago Esteves. Telmo Souza made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Facopo FBPA's Caetano Domingues. In the 74th minute of the match Facopo FBPA got a corner. Cruzeiro RS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ilgaz Aydoğan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Cheng Ling Yang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cruzeiro RS's Eguen Armesto did a great save. After a rather tough play, Facopo FBPA's Cheng Ling Yang got a free kick in the 84th minute. Telmo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Zhivko Húntev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Facopo FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhivko Húntev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Facopo FBPA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
