Cachila's Paulino Estevez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jeremias Hitz in the 6 minute of the game. Terri Moco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute Terri Moco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Paulino Estevez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Loco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terri Moco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Terri Moco made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Loco. Atlético Matorrales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A.A. Cachila's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonas Orlo in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A.A. Cachila made a substitution. Seymour Skinner replaced Roberto Lapurdi. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeo Quilino to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Atlético Matorrales booed when A.A. Cachila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terri Moco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Loco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Terri Moco might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonardo Loco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Terri Moco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute Terri Moco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Terri Moco took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonardo Loco. Leonardo Loco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Gustavo Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Quilino in the 68th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Terri Moco took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Leonardo Loco to make any attempt to save it. Terri Moco might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonardo Loco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Terri Moco ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasio Caton in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Hartz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Loco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Terri Moco's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terri Moco in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Loco saved Atlético Matorrales from getting behind. 96 minutes into the match, A.A. Cachila's Terri Moco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Loco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Atlético Matorrales lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
