The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Squadra Sulista booed when DJVAGALUMY FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Squadra Sulista's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Linares in the 26th minute of play. With his leg Robinho Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Squadra Sulista's Fernandinho Albuquerque fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fernandinho Albuquerque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Robinho Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by DJVAGALUMY FC.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joshua Barfield was slow to take the kick. During this time Squadra Sulista's players had a chance to rest. Squadra Sulista's Renato Carvalho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Robinho Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 34th minute of the match, Felippe Monteiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robinho Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Robinho Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save DJVAGALUMY FC. from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Squadra Sulista getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marcelo Pereira hit a great ball. Marcelinho Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Linares in the 44th minute of the match. Fernandinho Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Robinho Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamin Kvammen was the one to do the kick off. Téo Furtado hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Robinho Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Maciel in the 57th minute of play. Robinho Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Maciel in the 60th minute of the match. Genílson Maciel took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho Amorim. Robinho Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 67th match minute, Squadra Sulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Basarov to maneuver through the defense. DJVAGALUMY FC. made a substitution. Ruan Dal Bello replaced Stig-Åke Molander. A collision led to Squadra Sulista getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alexander Basarov hit a great ball. Aílton de Lima was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Squadra Sulista's zone, Benjamin Kvammen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Abraão came out of the goal and Benjamin Kvammen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Benjamin Kvammen came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the DJVAGALUMY FC. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Kvammen couldn't finish the play. Benjamin Kvammen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. DJVAGALUMY FC. made a substitution. Yuri Amorim replaced Téo Furtado. In the 80th minute, Vladimir do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Kvammen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Abraão having to interfere. Squadra Sulista walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
