With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julián Valla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stacy Doll, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Julián Valla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Naike in the 26th minute of play. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stacy Doll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Guido Luzaide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Stacy Doll took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Elpidio Vitin to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Aerolineas Argentinas FC made a substitution. Marcos Loi replaced Stacy Doll. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Naike stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Roland in the 52nd minute of play forced Aerolineas Argentinas FC's goalkeeper Julián Valla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
