Fausto Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Paraibano having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Fausto Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. FÊNIX F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 18th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Prata to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Ferraz in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fausto Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Paraibano was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Fausto Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Paraibano having to make a save. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 38th minute of play. If Fausto Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The Scarlet Speedster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4.

The wind increased when Fausto Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. Fausto Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Alfredo Paraibano made a huge save. Alfredo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Severino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. João Severino hit a great ball. In the 63rd match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Severino to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Mauro Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 67th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when João Severino came free, but Alfredo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ryszard Janiczek hit a great ball. Fausto Mendonça who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Paraibano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Fausto Mendonça in the 74th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alfredo Paraibano kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-5 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 78 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Severino. Alfredo Paraibano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 83rd minute. Alfredo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Severino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genílson Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Ferraz came free, but Naldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Scarlet Speedster could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FÊNIX F.C. throughout the match.
