Bartosz Bereszynski hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. Charlie Boström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Bettencourt in the 33rd minute of the match. When Marcinho Arce fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FÊNIX F.C.'s protests and gave Marcinho Arce a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Marcinho Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aykut Canel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marquinhos Teixeira, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With an all-out effort, FÊNIX F.C.'s Renan Melo threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marquinhos Teixeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Boström in the 46th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 minutes of play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renan Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt Bouchard made a kick off. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 53rd minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FÊNIX F.C.'s goalie and right to Bernardo Bettencourt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FÊNIX F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Genílson Ferraz replaced João Carlos Medeiros. Renan Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on FÊNIX F.C.'s corner Marquinhos Teixeira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Renan Melo quite easily take care of the ball. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Bettencourt in the 78th minute of play. Alfredo Paraibano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Boström went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Valério Zonta charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valério Zonta hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Aykut Canel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Alfredo Paraibano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Campos in the 91st minute of play. The A.A. Francana players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
