The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Troiano got free with Gualter Roriz in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

SC Bertioga's Bruninho Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save SC Bertioga from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andaka Mula in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruninho Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Bruninho Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andaka Mula. Bruninho Vaz came out of the goal and Matias Corte-Real tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Matias Corte-Real had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruninho Vaz. SC Bertioga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matias Corte-Real was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Bruninho Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Corte-Real in the 93rd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Matias Corte-Real dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruninho Vaz, 1-4. With a little luck, SC Bertioga's Bruninho Vaz got control of the ball when Matias Corte-Real tried to sneak it across the goal line.
