Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Junior in the 90th minute of the match. Jenipapo SC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Marquês de Herval's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardinho Pena took the corner. The Jenipapo SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jenipapo SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
