After a defensive mix-up in Papunhas EC's zone, Fellipe Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Nazario Serre came out of the goal and Fellipe Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Nazario Serre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barrenta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Paulo do Valle in the 22nd minute. The corner led Barrenta SC's Luiz Paulo do Valle to fire away a dangerous shot which Ismael Nazario Serre despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Di Marinho in the 24th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Papunhas EC defense, Di Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre. The Papunhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Nazario Serre should have stopped the shot. After 28 minutes, Nariman Mansourian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the Papunhas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Nariman Mansourian got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 35 minutes of play, Barrenta SC's Di Marinho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Nazario Serre was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Oswaldo Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patric Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Tastzian in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Nazario Serre saved Papunhas EC from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agustín Tastzian to strike the kick off in the second half. When Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Papunhas EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 55th minute Agustín Tastzian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Valdemar de Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Patric Isaksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Tastzian's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Papunhas EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barrenta SC:s goal. Ismael Nazario Serre went to the wrong direction when Luiz Paulo do Valle was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 70th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Patric Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho de Carvalho in the 75th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Patric Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patric Isaksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 76th minute of the match. Patric Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Urban Stenman replaced Fellipe Lago. Elói Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Barrenta SC's Urban Stenman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael Nazario Serre. That made the score 1-3 after 83 minutes of play. Agustín Tastzian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Ismael Nazario Serre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre got control of the ball when Agustín Tastzian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ismael Nazario Serre made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Agustín Tastzian sent off a good shot on target.
