After 13 played minutes, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Edin Džeko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Erechim - FSCMZ reached it. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Dário Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ and the Mestre GG players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute Benson Beverley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mestre GG's Remigiusz Paciuszko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Mestre GG from getting a goal against them. Mestre GG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edin Džeko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. When the match was over Mestre GG could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nova Erechim - FSCMZ throughout the match.
