Hulk Fenomeno started the match with the kick off. Corneliu Dridu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Genko Balevski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Trevisan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Corneliu Dridu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dr Lecter SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneliu Dridu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genko Balevski in the 15th minute of the match. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fabiano Pitta who took care of the corner kick. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Romero in the 26th minute of play. Melquiades Amor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Dridu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA defense, Corneliu Dridu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Amor. The CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Amor should have stopped the shot. Amadeu Veloso made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dr Lecter SC's Mauro Romero. Amadeu Veloso made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erik Thorvaldsson. In the 41st minute, Ma Wei Jun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Amor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Corneliu Dridu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Melquiades Amor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Dr Lecter SC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corneliu Dridu to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Amadeu Veloso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dr Lecter SC's Mauro Romero quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 56 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Genko Balevski came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hulk Fenomeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Genko Balevski got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 70th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Dridu came free, but Melquiades Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omid Kaulbach in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Corneliu Dridu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dr Lecter SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneliu Dridu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez was substituted for Lauro Antunes. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Francisco Brodel replaced Dieguinho de Medeiros. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hulk Fenomeno in the 86th minute of play. If Wágner Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ma Wei Jun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Melquiades Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Fedele Di Fabrizio replaced Corneliu Dridu. Melquiades Amor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedele Di Fabrizio in the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fedele Di Fabrizio hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Dr Lecter SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
