The supporters of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- booed when Santa Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo De Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Udrişte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Santa Margarita's Andreas Landgren got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rosendo Seguinus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andréas Hasselqvist in the 18th minute of the match. Santa Margarita were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eduardo De Francesco took the corner. Pontus Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Udrişte, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Udrişte in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute ASF BAIA MARE -MM- were awarded a corner. Fryderyk Witwicki went to the cornerflag to take it. If Witomir Pisarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Witwicki came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 30th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pontus Nordström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fryderyk Witwicki in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Witomir Pisarczyk in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Seguinus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32ndth minute of the game Witomir Pisarczyk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Gerardo Lordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Seguinus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pontus Nordström made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Aron Zgrăbunţa sent off a good shot on target. Rosendo Seguinus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andréas Hasselqvist in the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogdan Udrişte to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Witwicki in the 51st minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rdth minute of the game Gerardo Lordi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, Andrei Zeciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Margarita's Klaus Mohammadi was substituted for Enzo Peruxu. Santa Margarita made a substitution. Wendell Davids replaced Witomir Pisarczyk. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting a goal against them. Santa Margarita were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eduardo De Francesco took the corner. Eduardo De Francesco made a great header on Santa Margarita's corner, it was just that ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus managed to reach the ball for a save. Bogdan Udrişte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus got control of the ball when Mauro Icardi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- defense, Mauro Icardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosendo Seguinus. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Seguinus should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Santa Margarita fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Bogdan Udrişte shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s zone, Mauro Icardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Seguinus came out of the goal and Mauro Icardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Mauro Icardi could shoot a difficult shot in the 98th minute, which Rosendo Seguinus however easily saved by the left post. The Santa Margarita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santa Margarita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
