Santa Margarita's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eduardo De Francesco in the 6th minute. Eduardo De Francesco made a great header on Santa Margarita's corner, it was just that ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus managed to reach the ball for a save. If Gerardo Lordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute, Gerardo Lordi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rosendo Seguinus. The goal made the score 1-0. Witomir Pisarczyk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Rosendo Seguinus made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witomir Pisarczyk got free with Rosendo Seguinus in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Zeciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fryderyk Witwicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Lordi. When Ciprian Sângeorzan fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s protests and gave Ciprian Sângeorzan a yellow card for diving instead. 25 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Udrişte came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pontus Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Udrişte in the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santa Margarita's Andreas Landgren got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Andrei Zeciu came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Zeciu couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Bogdan Udrişte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 35th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Udrişte in the 38th minute of play. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Udrişte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Witomir Pisarczyk. With a little luck, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus got control of the ball when Gerardo Lordi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fryderyk Witwicki in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fryderyk Witwicki was the one to do the kick off. Remus Cazan hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Ciprian Sângeorzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Pontus Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 55th minute of play. After 59 played minutes, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Gelu Lelescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pontus Nordström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ASF BAIA MARE -MM- reached it. A hard shot 61 in the game by Bogdan Udrişte from a close distance when the talented Pontus Nordström managed to make a qualified save. Santa Margarita's players were relieved. Vladimir Stejaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
