In the 6th minute, Belo Alvarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurino Serena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 16th minute of the match. Maurino Serena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maurino Serena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Nereo Acosta in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Esteban Iztal. Erlantz Bermejo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Branislav Velchevski came out and tried to block the shot, but Erlantz Bermejo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Belo Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Prosperi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maurino Serena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Esteban Vadillos scored to the left of an out of position Branislav Velchevski, making the score, 2-1. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Belo Alvarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Alcorcón's zone, Elpidio Francis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Elpidio Francis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurino Serena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Miguel Prosperi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elpidio Francis made a kick off. In the 59th minute of the match ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a corner. A.D. Alcorcón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Prosperi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Roland Kolacki got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maurino Serena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 61 played minutes A.D. Alcorcón got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Otero. In the 64th minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 67th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Prosperi to maneuver through the defense. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. Arnaldo Gabon replaced Miguel Prosperi. Miguel Prosperi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena got control of the ball when Elpidio Francis tried to sneak it across the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after A.D. Alcorcón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Venancio Havier took the corner. The corner ended in Venancio Havier almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena did a great save. 74 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. A.D. Alcorcón's Leroy Antunez was substituted for Belo Alvarez. A.D. Alcorcón's Eusebio Quijana managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Esteban Iztal in the 79 minute of the game. The long shot by Venancio Havier in the 80th minute really tested Maurino Serena's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurino Serena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Maurino Serena made a huge save. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurino Serena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the match ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a corner. A.D. Alcorcón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Venancio Havier ran over to the corner to take the kick. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leroy Antunez in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
