The CWKS KĘDZIERZYN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Romanescu should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Gold Team Bełchatów's goalkeeper Dariusz Kochanowicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isak Lundqvist. In the 9th match minute, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco van Basten to maneuver through the defense. Iwo Rawa hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Niculae Romanescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iraitz Mudarra's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 17th match minute, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Klich to maneuver through the defense. Isak Lundqvist in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dariusz Kochanowicz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Niculae Romanescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iraitz Mudarra in the 34th minute of play. When Isak Lundqvist came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CWKS KĘDZIERZYN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isak Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. Dariusz Kochanowicz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marco van Basten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 44 minute of play. After a rather tough play, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Velimir Bostandzhiev got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Edmund Plech could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Niculae Romanescu made a huge save. 54 minutes into the game, Michaël Guillot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dariusz Kochanowicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niculae Romanescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szczepan Serwacki in the 59th minute of play. With a little luck, CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Niculae Romanescu got control of the ball when Edmund Plech tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Marco van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Dariusz Kochanowicz. Gold Team Bełchatów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Isak Lundqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Szczepan Serwacki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Romanescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
