AA Bełchatów's Leonard Rosen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Kaleta in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, AA Bełchatów's Ryszard Przewozik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilio Shepherd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AA Bełchatów's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dadá do Nascimento in the 19th minute. Konrad Klack made a great header on AA Bełchatów's corner, it was just that KN ZGORZELEC's Emilio Shepherd managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 21stth minute of the game Wessel Bos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AA Bełchatów's Leonard Rosen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Wessel Bos made a precise shot to the right of Leonard Rosen. AA Bełchatów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Wessel Bos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ryszard Przewozik came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emilio Shepherd could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as AA Bełchatów's Ryszard Przewozik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emilio Shepherd. That made the score 1-1 after 41 minutes of play. Ryszard Przewozik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Shepherd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. KN ZGORZELEC's Emilio Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Przewozik in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Wessel Bos scored 1-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonard Rosen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Gwidon Furtok fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KN ZGORZELEC's protests and gave Gwidon Furtok a yellow card for diving instead. Gwidon Furtok hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Przewozik in the 55th minute of play forced KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emilio Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th play minute Wessel Bos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leonard Rosen. 1-3. After 59 minutes, Miguel Scherer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AA Bełchatów and the KN ZGORZELEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, AA Bełchatów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Scherer to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Mariusz Kaleta from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Leonard Rosen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Wessel Bos might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonard Rosen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Rosen made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Wessel Bos sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emilio Shepherd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KN ZGORZELEC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
