To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piotr Lech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobald Jeziorkowski in the 21st minute of play. Edward Slazak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Kostrzewa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of The Irons Chorzów booed when FC MARKUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Gendolla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Slazak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maciej Bartelak's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 32 minutes into the match, FC MARKUS's goal looked a bit too open when Pawel Kochanowski came free, but Edward Slazak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Slazak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patryk Snaza in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Gandalf Head managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MARKUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gandalf Head was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edward Slazak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pawel Kochanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Lucjan Drugi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The FC MARKUS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC MARKUS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
