But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Astudillo couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes Astillero del Guayas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Orlo who took care of the corner kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Astudillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Long Yuan De stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Astudillo's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. 55 minutes into the game, Juan-Pablo Leyarte threw the ball into play from the sideline. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Long Yuan De showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terri Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. A.A. Cachila's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
