After some careless play in the Riesgo Cero defense, Jerónimo Furtado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Vladimirescu. The Riesgo Cero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Vladimirescu should have stopped the shot. Edwin van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 庄潮宽's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The supporters of Riesgo Cero booed when União Sport Clube Paredes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lourenço Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Quilo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Vladimirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, União Sport Clube Paredes's Roman Quilo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Vladimirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute, Roman Quilo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Vladimirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. If Dabi Saens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Damario in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to União Sport Clube Paredes getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Dabi Saens hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Vladimirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Damario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 71st minute of play forced Riesgo Cero's goalkeeper Cristian Vladimirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Santo Damario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by Santo Damario. In the 77th minute Jerónimo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Vladimirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo Damario. Edwin van der Sar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Santo Damario showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 83 minute of play. When Lech Biskupiak came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Riesgo Cero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lech Biskupiak couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Riesgo Cero's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Taşcu came free, but Cristian Vladimirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Riesgo Cero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Vladimirescu should have stopped the shot. After 96 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by Marco Jorrin. There was no doubt that União Sport Clube Paredes were the better team. União Sport Clube Paredes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
