In the 4th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bater Palma to maneuver through the defense. Flavinho Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8thth minute of the game Bater Palma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brugge United's Vítor Baia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brugge United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leo Iigo was slow to take the kick. During this time CE LAJEADENSE RS's players had a chance to rest. The corner led CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan to fire away a dangerous shot which Vítor Baia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 18th minute Guido Vissenaeken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Martins hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Guido Vissenaeken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Mauricio Bitxintxo got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flavinho Reis. Flavinho Reis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. If Guido Vissenaeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bater Palma in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Bater Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brugge United's goalie prevented a goal. Flavinho Reis made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Guido Vissenaeken sent off a good shot on target. Guido Vissenaeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Baia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido Vissenaeken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuo Chao Chuan came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Brugge United's Vítor Baia got control of the ball when Leo Iigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. CE LAJEADENSE RS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leo Iigo in the 73rd minute. Herbert Pietrowicz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Flavinho Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnauld Van Impe's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Arnauld Van Impe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavinho Reis. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnauld Van Impe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 93rd match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Ely to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Arnauld Van Impe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavinho Reis. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnauld Van Impe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Brugge United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
