The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Gabriel-Omar Batista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jarrod Leary. Gabriel-Omar Batista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Vance Tidwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Chance Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Gabriel-Omar Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chance Adams in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sol Bartlett to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel-Omar Batista struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jarrod Leary didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★Independiente Ψ★. In the 45th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Hood to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson replaced Chance Adams. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Larry Cermak was substituted for Xu Yuan Lin. The wind increased when Gabriel-Omar Batista made the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Musso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Leary having to interfere. Fang Sheng Qing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 68th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Maximiliano Iigo threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Iigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel-Omar Batista came free, but Jarrod Leary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Lei Feng Ying was substituted for Gabriel-Omar Batista. ★Independiente Ψ★ made a substitution. Cristian Jaunti replaced Nicolas Salomon. Racing Miami Futbol Club's attentive Vance Tidwell managed to snatch the ball when Cristian Jaunti made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ★Independiente Ψ★ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racing Miami Futbol Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
