The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, 任正振 had to leave the field with a concussion. After 5 minutes, Bertil Arneborg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoberg United and the Pheonix FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pheonix FC made a substitution. Sonni Lei replaced 任正振. In the 6th minute, Bertil Arneborg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Læksand. Tyge Oehlerich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Hoberg in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonni Lei in the 12th minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Karljohan Lenter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Moritz Holmaa came free, but Karljohan Lenter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Don Hoberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tyge Oehlerich to make any attempt to save it. Karljohan Lenter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Holmaa in the 23rd minute of play. Reinhardt Bramstrup kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Vladislav Hampejs scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karljohan Lenter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Hoberg got free with Tyge Oehlerich in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tyge Oehlerich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Hoberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Militaru in the 40th minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Karljohan Lenter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Vladislav Hampejs came free, but Karljohan Lenter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sonni Lei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 52 minutes on the clock, Run Wing commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Run Wing kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Marcel Militaru sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hoberg United's Karljohan Lenter didn't even have to move. In the 55th minute, Torbjørn Præstensgaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hoberg United's Karljohan Lenter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Hoberg United from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute Vladislav Hampejs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karljohan Lenter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karljohan Lenter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirch Melving, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goalkeeper Karljohan Lenter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sonni Lei. Pheonix FC's Sonni Lei got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcel Militaru's late challenge caught a Hoberg United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Militaru helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pheonix FC's Marcel Militaru got a free kick in the 87th minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Don Hoberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoberg United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Hoberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sonni Lei kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Pheonix FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hoberg United throughout the match.
