Tonni Dong started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's Kenny Ebsøe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Sølve narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Holmkjar Hotspurs defense, Sune Heidal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egil Sølve. The Holmkjar Hotspurs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egil Sølve should have stopped the shot. Egil Sølve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Ebsøe in the 10th minute of the match. Egil Sølve came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Monks in Robes's Kenny Ebsøe. But to his dismay, Kenny Ebsøe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 16 minutes into the game, Kenny Ebsøe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Egil Sølve was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute, Sune Heidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edward Pracki hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Oluf Ankerbøl could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Bøje Dyssen however easily saved by the left post. When Monks in Robes's Kenny Ebsøe in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Kenny Ebsøe put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Egil Sølve. After 26 minutes, Gunther Kjærbye mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmkjar Hotspurs and the Monks in Robes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gunther Kjærbye hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Kenny Ebsøe struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Egil Sølve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monks in Robes. Kenny Ebsøe struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Vagner Vennitze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bøje Dyssen having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sune Heidal in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egil Sølve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute, Vagner Vennitze reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bøje Dyssen. The goal made the score 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The wind increased when Sune Heidal made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Morthen Helmi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Monks in Robes's Walmir Braga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Egil Sølve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Ebsøe, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Holmkjar Hotspurs's Gunther Kjærbye got a free kick in the 56th minute. Kenny Ebsøe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Egil Sølve didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenny Ebsøe went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the game, Monks in Robes's Kenny Ebsøe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egil Sølve made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Micael Byvold replaced Morthen Helmi. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Timmi Bantz was substituted for Samuel Berghagen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenny Ebsøe in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Sune Heidal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kenny Ebsøe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monks in Robes's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Ebsøe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egil Sølve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Micael Byvold to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Monks in Robes booed when Holmkjar Hotspurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franck Lydicksen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Monks in Robes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monks in Robes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
