The Rex Scania MFF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Stelea should have stopped the shot. Rex Scania MFF's Bogdan Stelea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Di Filippo in the 15th minute of play. Hermanö Oilers's Ingemar Stålman got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Dave Di Filippo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hermanö Oilers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Di Filippo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bogdan Stelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Di Filippo in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mats Gregersson during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Ingemar Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingemar Stålman to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, one of Rex Scania MFF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Hermanö Oilers a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dave Di Filippo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rex Scania MFF's Bogdan Stelea. 5-0. Dave Di Filippo took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Stelea. Bogdan Stelea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Sven-Olof Dalberg hit a great ball. Bogdan Stelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Di Filippo in the 64th minute of play. Hermanö Oilers were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Rex Scania MFF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Harel Minsky took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Harel Minsky got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bogdan Stelea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 67 minutes into the game, Batuhan Öztürk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rex Scania MFF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hermanö Oilers the free kick. After 68 played minutes Rex Scania MFF got a freekick which was hit by Batuhan Öztürk. Hermanö Oilers made a substitution. Hjalmar Askelöf replaced Erland Mellin. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Rex Scania MFF's goalie and right to Dave Di Filippo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Rex Scania MFF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Bogdan Stelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Di Filippo in the 77th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the game Viggo Hedkvist made a throw-in which Robert Abrahamsson played forward. Bogdan Stelea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Stålman in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Harry Forsman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermanö Oilers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 94th minute, Dave Di Filippo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Bogdan Stelea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Di Filippo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 99 minutes into the match, Ingemar Stålman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bogdan Stelea. Rex Scania MFF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingemar Stålman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0.
