After 14 minutes, Han Fan Hong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glemmingebro IF and the Överås IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Glemmingebro IF's zone, Karsten Karlsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanny Stopa came out of the goal and Karsten Karlsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michael Palmkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Överås IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urban Jonsson to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Glemmingebro IF's goalkeeper Stanny Stopa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karsten Karlsen. A nice corner shot did that Dorival Veiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eero Viks quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Han Fan Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Han Fan Hong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glemmingebro IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Glemmingebro IF's Lavern Rocha got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Glemmingebro IF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Han Fan Hong was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Han Fan Hong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glemmingebro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Han Fan Hong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eero Viks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorival Veiga was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, one of Glemmingebro IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Stanny Stopa had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Marcus Bergsten's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Stanny Stopa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Bergsten in the 63rd minute of the match. 74 minutes in the game Michael Palmkvist did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Samuel Utter. Karsten Karlsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanny Stopa having to interfere. Överås IK made a substitution. Lennart Skräddare replaced Hitz Toxeiro. Glemmingebro IF's Karl-Magnus Torsberg was substituted for Emil Lonnebjerg. In the 88th minute Karsten Karlsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Stopa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glemmingebro IF made a substitution. Klas Söderlund replaced Karl-Erik Bergqvist. Överås IK's Simon Odén quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Klas Söderlund, made in the 96th minute of the game. The supporters of Överås IK booed when Glemmingebro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klas Söderlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glemmingebro IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
